Sunnybrook Farm, also known as The Day Homestead, is one of the oldest properties in Sharon, Vermont. The farm dates back hundreds of years and our house was built in 1810. It was run as a successful trout farm for over 70 years.
We started farming on the property in 2008, and I am a second generation sugarmaker making award winning syrup the old fashioned way. We use 3/16” tubing to collect the sap with natural vacuum, and we do not use reverse osmosis or vacuum pumps. Our maple arch is wood fired and everything is done by hand.
In addition to making pure maple syrup, we sell seed garlic, produce and value added products to local coops. We’re not certified, but we do practice organic principals. Our small farm is our passion!
