Pure Vermont Maple Syrup from Misty Mountain Maple
Misty Mountain Maple is a small family farm along the headwaters of the Ompompanoosuc River in Vershire, Vermont. They raise beef, tend to a herd of horses, and handcraft pure maple syrup. I am sure the animals appreciate Will's love of reseeding old fields with alfalfa. The farm’s northern facing sugarbush and high elevation make for a late sugaring season with plenty of golden & delicate maple syrup. They tap about 1,800 trees and the sap flows right down to their rustic sugarhouse. The spring sugaring season, otherwise known as ‘mud season’, is the perfect time for Will to take a break from his excavation work to make some of the best Vermont maple syrup.
